FAQ
What is Qing Feng paste?
It is a traditional Chinese herbal paste (gao fang) - a smooth, edible paste made from four medicine-food botanicals (hawthorn, goji berry, celery and Dendrobium) in a maltitol base. It is taken by the spoonful as a food supplement, not applied to the skin.
How is it described in Traditional Chinese Medicine?
In the TCM tradition, this style of formula is described in terms of clearing heat and transforming phlegm and of nourishing the liver, kidney and spleen. We share this as cultural heritage and the traditional way the recipe is understood - not as a medical claim.
Who created the formula?
It was formulated by Professor Zhang Daning, a master of Traditional Chinese Medicine, in the classical gao fang (herbal paste) tradition.
Is it suitable for people watching sugar?
It is sweetened with maltitol, a low-glycaemic sweetener, instead of sugar. As with any food supplement, follow the recommended daily amount.
Can I take it during pregnancy?
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please consult your doctor before using any herbal food supplement.
Is this a medicine?
No. It is a food supplement intended to be enjoyed as part of a balanced diet. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
