Scientific Approach
Our Scientific Approach
WHIEDA Health occupies a defined space: between traditional wellness wisdom and modern evidence-based health science. This page explains how we evaluate products, how we communicate about their benefits, and where we draw the line between wellness claims and medical claims.
How We Evaluate Products
Before any product enters the WHIEDA range, we apply a structured evaluation process:
- Mechanism plausibility - Is there a coherent, scientifically plausible mechanism by which this product could produce a wellness benefit?
- Materials verification - Are the materials and their properties (e.g., FIR emissivity, negative ion output) verifiable through laboratory testing?
- Safety profile - Is there any evidence of harm? Are the materials biocompatible and safe for daily use?
- Research review - What does peer-reviewed literature say about the technology or ingredients involved?
- Practical effectiveness - Does the product work as intended in real-world use conditions?
What We Claim and What We Do Not
WHIEDA Health products are wellness products, not medicinal products or medical devices. We adhere strictly to the distinction between:
- Wellness claims (permissible): describing how a product supports general wellbeing, comfort, or lifestyle
- Medical claims (not made): stating that a product treats, cures, or prevents a specific disease or condition
Where we describe potential benefits of technologies such as far infrared or negative ions, we do so in the context of the research literature and characterize the level of evidence accurately.
Our Wellness Library
We publish educational content in our Wellness Library to help customers understand the science behind wellness technologies, ingredients, and practices. Our editorial standard is: factual, cited where possible, and clear about the limits of current knowledge.
Transparency on Limitations
We believe in telling you what we do not know, not just what we do. Many of the technologies in our products are supported by promising but still-evolving bodies of research. We will always be honest when evidence is preliminary and recommend consulting a qualified healthcare professional for any health condition that warrants medical attention.
